Cars of My Youth & Cars of My Dreams (My 1st "Muscle Car) 1965 Buick Gran Sport

My first "muscle car" was a 1965 Buick Skylark Gran Sport. It was burgandy with fawn leather interior. It had a 401 cube inch engine and boasted about 325hp . . . not bad for a Buick! Unfortunately, it was demolished by a drunk driver while it was parked curbside at my home place late one night. It had all of 900 miles on it when this happened . . . the impact sent the front end of the car 10 feet up an adjacent tree. It was a total loss. About the only good thing I can remember about the incident was the joy of taking delivery on the 1966 Gran Sport a few months later.
