Some of my favorite female artists in the R&B genre are Baby Washington, Edda James, Timmie Yuro, Dione Warwick, etc. This song, Are You Ready, is one of those "one hit and done" masterpieces that tends to get lost in all but the better anthology collections featuring various artists of a particular genre. Oh man, it's been at least a dozen years since I last heard this one, and until today, didn't have it on wax, cassette, or digital format . . . none the less, a classic performed by Barbara Mason . . .
